4.2.3.16 (See all)

Codex Writer is a web code editor for Windows systems which supports Javascript, HTML, CSS, and PHP. It has syntax highlighting, plus it integrates web preview publishing and in addition it can handle different projects with their own workspaces.

The program has a well-organized interface with a library, outline and project panel, as well as toolbars where users can find the main tools to work with. Other options and tools can be accessed through the menus at the top of the window.

Codex Writer has many useful tools, like an FTP client, an image mapper and a customizable tag syntax function. The FTP tool supports remote file editing and file uploading. The image mapper creates custom image maps of a web site.

The workspace panel allows users to work on multiple projects keeping track of their work without issues. In addition to supported languages, Codex allows running third-party compilers to execute C++ and other languages.

In regard to coding, Codex allows adding shortcuts to codes, joining & duplicating lines, inverting lines, and more. Users can also assign their own keyboard shortcuts to specific actions and select the colors used in coding. Another great feature of the program is the Find function. It performs an advanced search throughout the code and in different projects, and even without the need of having to open the files in advance.
